ABOUT IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a crucial administrative body within any institution, tasked with overseeing all quality-related matters. It holds the primary responsibility for initiating, planning, and supervising various activities that are essential for enhancing the quality of education provided by the institution. The role of IQAC in maintaining quality standards in teaching, learning, and evaluation is paramount.

The Primary Aim of IQAC is:

• To develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action aimed at improving the academic and administrative performance of the institution..

• To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through the internalization of a quality culture and the institutionalization of best practices.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of S. M. Patel College of Home Science was established on June 24, 2007, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The primary objective of the IQAC is to ensure the enhancement and coordination of various institutional activities, thereby facilitating the path towards accreditation. The college received its initial accreditation from NAAC in 2007 for the first cycle, achieving a Grade of B+. This was followed by accreditation for the second cycle in 2013, with a Grade of A, and the third cycle in 2019-20, with a Grade of B++. Since its inception, the IQAC has consistently endeavored to refine institutional processes and establish exemplary practices.
